Thank you to everyone who contributed to our daughter’s 100 Good Wishes Quilt. The quilt is in the tender loving care of professional quilter extraordinaire, Geri, in Glen Ellyn, Illinois.
Click the image below to learn more about Geri and her shop.

Geri is an inspiration to all procrastinators - everywhere! We sent our final quilt squares to her the Friday after Thanksgiving... and exactly two weeks later, Geri has our quilt top nearly complete. Here’s a photo of the pattern we are using as our inspiration. Geri has modified the pattern a bit to incorporate all of our fabrics - giving us 9 blocks of butterfly wreaths. Each butterfly is made up of 10 fabric strips, repeating once... so each each butterfly is made up of five different fabrics. Photos of the completed blocks are also below. To add an extra special touch, Geri is embroidering a chinese symbol into the center of each block. We’ve selected the characters... each has a special meaning to us.

I can hardly wait to post the final photos of our finished quilt.... check back in early 2008 for the big reveal!

Below the butterfly wreaths are photos of some of the squares we’ve received. Use the slideshow to see full size samples and read the wishes.
Thank you for helping us welcome our daughter!http://www.lovingquilts.com
