The Ludwigsen family est. November 22, 2002 Our four-legged girls! We became of family of “three” on November 2, 2002 when our first little sweet pea, Lucy Lu came home. Lucy has brought us endless joy - so much in fact, we decided to adopt a second “daughter”. On November 6, 2005, we rescued our Phoebe Jane, a five month old Weimaraner, from the Cincinnati Weimaraner Rescue. Just two weeks after bringing her home, Phoebe displayed symptoms of Parvo and spent 7 long, lonely days in insolation at our vet. With just a 50% chance of survival, Phoebe bounced back to perfect health and is yet another constant (well, almost constant) source of joy! We truly can not imagine our lives without our “girls”! We were married in November of 2002 and have been on a three-year journey to parenthood. It’s been a wild ride, but we’ve learned a ton about where babies come from... and in our case, that’s CHINA! Last fall we tried an introductory Mandarin language course and we’re forever buying books and videos to help us better understand the Chinese language, culture, and history.
